Six—six!—new demos!
Six new yoctonaut demos are available at the yoctonaut mission dispatch. Or download ‘em from here:
- Bseq: Promising, but I’m not sure of this performance.
- DBus: Begun on the bus.
- Isol: Mostly composed on the bus.
- KSl: Initially composed above 20,000 feet.
- Point J: this started life as a Jandek cover.
- ycha: Rather fond of this one.
An embarrassment of riches, or just an embarrassment? You decide. Comments absorbed via email, the FB group, or DM onezeromusic

“yoctoparty” .mp3 fixed
The new, uncorrupted “yoctoparty” .mp3 is up, and you can find it on the preview page at onezeromusic or the Facebook Group.

New track—yoctoparty
A new track, “yoctoparty,” is up on the preview page at onezeromusic and the Facebook Group. This one was tricky: with ten synth voices available, the last one kept maxing out the iPhone processor or something, resulting in dropouts. I think I may have applied the lowpass24 to just one too many voices. So, having hit the device wall, we’ll call the piece effectively done.
Oddly, my .mp3 is working fine in the FB player, but behaving oddly on download, so a new one will go up tomorrow.

Tumbling
I’m trying out tumblr.
yoctonaut is an electronic music project involving composition and live performance on the iPhone. To date there are some alpha pieces (demos) on the way to an mp3 release in 2010.
The software I’m using is Bleep!BOX, a great little 10-voice synth by David Wallin. $10 from the App Store, and worth much more.
Check out the public alpha of yoctonaut pieces at onezeromusic or the Facebook Group. Have a listen and let me know what you think.
