I’ll be doing an audio installation in Pure Data for this.
We’re bringing NOISE to the Commonwealth Press Warehouse, featuring White Wives. Additional music performance by The Wakening, live painting by Mike Egan, interactive screen printing with CW Press, sound art installation by Maurice Rickard, and a crowd sourced favorite show flyer wall. Libations donated by Straub Brewery. Powered by Wall-to-Wall Studios.

yoctonaut is coming into Austin to play two shows:
Saturday March 19, 2011, 1PM: Slabfest: 3423 Guadalupe St., Austin, TX
Saturday March 19, 2011, 8:30PM: PRF Invades SXSW: Trailer Space Records, 1401-A Rosewood Austin, TX 78702
If you’re there, I’ll see you there.
(Merry Christmas || Happy Holidays || Happy Solstice || Happy New Year), (Humans || Robots)! There’s a new yoctonaut song: “A Robot’s Christmas in Wales.” You can download it right here, too. For free. Enjoy.
Six new yoctonaut demos are available at the yoctonaut mission dispatch. Or download ‘em from here:
- Bseq: Promising, but I’m not sure of this performance.
- DBus: Begun on the bus.
- Isol: Mostly composed on the bus.
- KSl: Initially composed above 20,000 feet.
- Point J: this started life as a Jandek cover.
- ycha: Rather fond of this one.
A new track, “yoctoparty,” is up on the preview page at onezeromusic and the Facebook Group. This one was tricky: with ten synth voices available, the last one kept maxing out the iPhone processor or something, resulting in dropouts. I think I may have applied the lowpass24 to just one too many voices. So, having hit the device wall, we’ll call the piece effectively done.
Oddly, my .mp3 is working fine in the FB player, but behaving oddly on download, so a new one will go up tomorrow.
I’m trying out tumblr.
yoctonaut is an electronic music project involving composition and live performance on the iPhone. To date there are some alpha pieces (demos) on the way to an mp3 release in 2010.
